Guest Post – Siren Allen

I’m delighted to welcome the very talented Siren Allen to the blog today with some exciting news about a re-release and a new venture. Tell us more, Siren!

 ~ Christmas Fantasy has been re-released. ~
As an author I must say that having your publishing house close its doors, three months after your book is released is very disheartening. But I’ve managed to bounce back! Christmas Fantasy is back and it’s no longer a novella, it’s now a full length novel with new scenes, new characters, a new ending and a new cover. Christmas Fantasy has been revamped and guess what… It’s only $1.99! Consider this an early Christmas present from yours truly, Siren Allen.

~Christmas Fantasy Blurb~

One bite was all it took.

It’s that time of year again. Alyssa Blakely is busy writing in her fantasy diary, filling it with all her forbidden, sexual fantasies. The star: her very sexy boss, Devin Jordan. Too bad for her, he’s never given her a second glance.
Or so she thought…

After a steamy kiss under the mistletoe and a night of wild sex, Alyssa has the bite to prove just how wrong she was.

Devin Jordan has found his mate. The only problem: she’s human. He’s not. Can he prove to her that his inner beast can be both naughty and nice? Or will her fear of the unknown and a threat neither of them saw coming keep him from claiming her?

“Have a nice weekend, Alyssa. I will see you Monday morning.”
Devin hoped Alyssa didn’t hear the rawness in his voice. He wanted her badly, very badly, almost to the point of obsession. He had to shove his hands into his jacket pockets to keep from touching her. His dark sunglasses kept her from seeing the change in his eyes. If she could read his mind she would probably put in her resignation and run.
Alyssa turned around to face him, her innocent brown eyes filled with uncertainty.
“Actually I won’t see you again until next year, Devin.”
Devin frowned, “Next year?”
“We’re off until after the New Year, remember?”
“Oh,” Devin nodded. “Yeah, Christmas is coming.”
He’d forgotten they were taking a break for the holidays. Damn, he wouldn’t see her for two weeks.
“Well, have a nice weekend and a Merry Christmas.”
“Have a nice weekend also and Merry Christmas.” Alyssa picked up her purse and her tote.
Like a good pretend gentleman Devin held the front door open for her as she walked out into the crisp cool air. Two weeks without her was going to be hell. Why did he give her two weeks off for a holiday that only lasted one day? She turned to him one last time and waved goodbye before getting into her car to leave. He locked up, and then watched her drive away. Ten minutes later he was standing in the exact same spot, staring in the direction she’d driven. Two weeks… what the hell was wrong with him? There was no way he could go two weeks without seeing her.
Just the thought of doing so, made him want to follow her and demand she spend her Christmas with him instead of her family. Following her would be foolish. He’d done it before. The silly girl enjoyed sleeping with her window and her blinds slightly open and he enjoyed watching her sleep. He told himself that he did it just to make sure she got home safely. But it was much more than that. Whenever she wasn’t near him, he worried about her. He worried about whether or not she was eating enough. He worried about her living all alone in her house without any one there to protect her. This obsession he had with Alyssa Blakely was getting out of hand.

#TeamAlyssa
“Alyssa,” Ashley said into the phone. “Stop playing and tell me the address.”
“No, I’ll be fine. I just needed to hear your voice.”
“I’m coming. I’ll find you even if I have to call every hotel in your area.”
Alyssa knew her sister was crazy enough to do something like that.
“Seriously, you don’t have to come. I will be home for Christmas. Talk to you later.”
“Alyssa Grace Blakely, you better not hang up this phone.”
“What?” Her big sister always meant business whenever she used Alyssa’s whole name.
“Alyssa, you called me. So you may as well tell me what’s wrong or I’m going to come find you.”
“Okay, okay, but I don’t even know where to begin.”
“Start with what’s wrong?”
“Everything is wrong. The man I am in love with is not who I thought he was.”
“Who is he?”
“He’s my boss.”
“You little hussy, sleeping with your boss. Wait until I tell Adora.”
“But that’s not all he is. He’s…different.”
“Is he different in a bad way?”
“Uh,” Alyssa thought for a second, “yes, I guess you can say that.”
“Does he kill people?”
“No, well, I don’t think so.”
Maybe, I don’t know.
“Does he treat you nice?”
“I guess.”
He fulfilled my wildest fantasies. Then he bit me and drank my blood.
“Ok, so tell me what the problem is.”
Alyssa sighed. “You won’t understand. You probably wouldn’t believe me anyway.”
“Trust me I will believe almost anything these days. Do you know that some guy stopped me at the gas station this morning and sniffed me? I mean he stuck his nose in my hair and sniffed. So, I will probably believe anything right now. What is it?”
“Well, he…doesn’t…act…like other men.” Alyssa didn’t know how else to explain it without saying, “my boss is a vampire.”
“Well, given your track record with men, maybe it’s a good thing he doesn’t act like the other men you’ve dated. Maybe you need to try something new. Maybe you need to shake things up a bit. Different isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes different can be good.”
“Really, this is coming from you, the woman who likes things a certain way and doesn’t like change?”
“Liking my house to be neat and in order is one thing, but men are different. Men aren’t one size fits all. Just because your guy is unique doesn’t mean he isn’t perfect for you. We’re all unique. You can’t force anyone to fit into a mold. You simply have to accept them as they are. I learned that the hard way.”
“You mean with Paul?” Alyssa frowned hoping her sister didn’t yell at her for mentioning her ex boyfriend’s name.
“Yes, Dad loved Paul. Mama loved Paul. Everyone loved Paul, except me.”
Wow, Alyssa had really thought Paul and Ashley were good together.
“I mean I tried to love him. I even said those words in hopes that one day they would be true. But Paul and I are too different. He’s not into the same things I’m into. It just took me a while to realize that.”
“What kind of things were you into that he weren’t?”
Her question was met with silence.
“You know, just things. Anyway, we weren’t in love so we went our separate ways. The point I’m trying to make is just because he’s different doesn’t mean he isn’t the right man for you. If you love him, that is all that matters.”
“I do love him. I think I’ve loved him since the moment I laid eyes on him.” Alyssa admitted.
“Great! If he treats you right, then we will love him automatically, no matter how different he is.”
Alyssa smiled as she listened to her sister. Devin was beyond different. But that didn’t make him bad. They both liked the same things. He loved helping the community. He gave to charity and was great with kids. She noticed how good he was with kids when she went with him to the Children’s Cancer Society Benefit. A monster wouldn’t give children piggy rides on his back. A monster wouldn’t let little girls braid his hair or let little boys tackle him while they played football. Alyssa sighed. Devin wasn’t a monster, at least not in the true meaning of the word.
“Thanks sis, I needed to hear that.”
